DVD, LP's and Singles
After the show ended there was a request for music from the programme and BBC Records brought out two singles and a album of the Ships company singing....
The singles included versions of Sailing, The Last Farewell and Womble songs.
The album included those songs plus good well know Sailor tunes, including Ram It!, Zulu Warrior and Back Home.
A few years ago a 3 DVD set of the series was released. Included all episodes and bonus material.

I never served on the Ark but due to the BBC Documentary I felt like I was with the ships company during this trip. I have visited HMS Ark Royal R09 in the 77 and then the new HMS Ark Royal 91 two years ago.
Due to the documentary the Ark Royal has a special place in many peoples hearts and minds.
